The Speed Project

www.barebackjack.com

Barebackjack claims to be the longest-surviving, 100 percent bareback content website on the Internet; their Mission Statement:

"We believe men can enjoy hot, unprotected sex best if they are informed about the risks involved."

Jack tells barebackers what to do to minimize those risks.

Frankly, I see this as two separate sites.

1) The basic 'Members-only Porn Shop' ($2.95 for a 3-day trial or $19.95 for ongoing monthly membership), provides members to such treats as:

  • FuckBud Ads -Your basic 'hookup' site for members.
  • U-Select Galleries - Same as above but 'categorized' in 14 Mix-n-Match categories linking to a member's email for semen-swapping purposes.
  • Bedtime Stories - Members'-submitted friction fiction stories.
  • Hot Links - Connecting you to various resorts, bathhouses and clubs, leather gear online shops, sexual research centers and other barebacking sites.
  • Glory Holes -- A directory of glory hole locations worldwide -- including members' personal glory holes.
  • Home Pages - Linking to members' personal websites
  • Advocacy - Offering 'sober advice' by Jack himself including both his editorial perspectives as well as that from such publications as TIME Magazine, local press and the like.
  • Community Feedback - Quoting members' feedback of Barebackjack
  • Model Citizens - Featuring Jack's 'pat-on-the-back' to those men within the bareback community who behave 'decently & honorably'
  • Pornstar On Parade - 'Exclusive' bareback pornstar interviews including hotshots of the featured star.

2) Bareback Health

A free site (www.BarebackHealth.net) providing health-related information for barebackers.

Their Mission Statement:

"Our aim is to reach those men who have already made a decision to ditch their condoms in order to teach them how to minimize their risk in a maximum risk scenario... using education... better communication... encouraging innovative testing and sero-sorting."

I'm going to be upfront here folks... Barebackjack doesn't hold back opinions about guys who party with Tina:

"Drugs, especially crystal, cause you to think differently about sex and the risks you take. Nearly all men who have used crystal regularly as a sex drug have become HIV+ or will become positive. Tweakers find their sexual havens in bathhouses, sex clubs, bookstores, and private parties because of the high numbers of anonymous sexual encounters that can be had in these environments. Condom use and/or honest discussion about HIV status are infrequent in these venues, and most sexual HIV transmissions occur under these conditions. Drugs also lower your immune system responses, making it easier for HIV and other STD's to attack the system. Because of the way crystal works, you are more likely to cause trauma to rectal tissue while you're high than under sober circumstances. Crystal allows you to experience massive amounts of anal penetration over elongated periods without rest... A serious mission of ours has been one we've been on since 1996: educating the public about the link between crystal meth use and HIV."

Speaking from DaddyT's personal experience (as both a partier and HIV+) I see the point...

Unfortunately, Jack at times comes off as a bit judgmental:

"...partiers are notorious for misrepresenting their HIV status, especially if they are HIV+... Partiers also have a propensity for picking up and transmitting a whole host of STD's. You are always better off avoiding partiers, regardless of whether you are HIV-Negative or Positive".

Yeah, well... you don't have to be a 'partier' to be dishonest or irresponsible - as plenty of 'non-partiers' can be this way as well!

But guys, DON'T ignore this site just because of Jack's misguided statement because THERE IS SO MUCH GOOD HEALTH-RELATED INFORMATION HERE FOR THE SEXUALLY-ACTIVE WANTING TO PRESERVE BOTH HIS HEALTH AND THE HEALTH OF HIS FUCKBUDS!!

The major points discussed here:

  • Know Your Status -- Provides a 'guideline' for frequency of getting tested for HIV depending upon your level of sexual activity
  • Know Your Partner -- Discussing such topics as monogamy/non-monogamy issues, arrangements in open relationships and fuckbuddies in general.
  • Discussing HIV Status -- Talks about the when and the how of doing this.
  • Bottoms & Tops -- Explains the associated risks of each and includes information on knowing one's viral load.
  • Pay Attention to What's Going On -- Talks about getting 'lost' in the passion of sex and not paying attention to problems that arise during the act.
  • Taking Loads/Not Taking Loads In Your Ass -- Explains how you might consider making these decisions.
  • HIV Immunity Myths
  • Philosophy on Contracting HIV & Personal Responsibility
  • The Practice of Sero-Sorting -- Explains what this is and how to manage it
  • The Reasons for Containment -- Shares the philosophy behind keeping HIV among the Positive Community.
  • Health Issues for the Positive Guy
